Less is more - the minimalism


The trend of having too many gadgets or pieces of clothes is transformed into having one phone with plenty possibilities and tiny wardrobe. Why does it happen and will the trend survive till 2050?

Since the beginning of evolution, human try to make his life easier. People started to use horses instead of walking long distances, using machines in manufacture instead of a human workforce. As a result of creating machines for literally any purpose, we have an enormous amount of devices that started to make life harder and more expensive rather than optimizing it. And this is a reason for innovating single multitasking machine - revolution of minimalism in technology.

Just look at the phone. Isn't is smart? The future has arrived with a task of simplifying the life.

While surfing the blogs it is hard not to notice the trends on everything natural. At the beginning of July hashtag #NoMakeUp got 16,360,564 posts. The popularization of natural looks is spread by celebrities, models, and even beauty industry. For example, Dove adopted the slogan "Dove Real Beauty". Brand has launched number of campaigns and viral videos promoting the power and importance of natural beauty.

"Dress like Matilda day" is a day, when Saatchi&Saatchi team in SoHo wore white tops, black pants, and little black bows, adopting the working style of their Art Director Matilda Kahl. This event was trigged by the success of Matilda's story on Harpers Bazaar "Why I wear the exact same thing to work every day", where Matilda explained how having the working uniform made her life easier and saved her money. Matilda's working closet consists of about 15 silk white shirts and a few black trousers. As a result, uniform releases from every morning stress what to wear or how do you look like, frees time for morning coffee or meditation, and takes less space in the shelf. Finally, the minimalism in the clothes is expected to bring more attention rather to the personality that to the appearance of the person.
